Lisa Confora


BS Art Education - Clay Instructor

Graduated from Kutztown University with a B.S. in Art Education

I taught for two years in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana at one of the largest High schools in the state.

I am the current full time art teacher at a special services school in Mays Landing NJ. I have been teaching there for the past twenty years providing art to children with disabilities ages 3-21. During that time, I was also teaching high school art in the mornings at the Atlantic County technical institute alternative school for a year.

I have been an active member of the Art Educators of NJ for the past 20 years. I was on the AENJ Advisory council for two years, I was the Atlantic/Cape May County chair for Youth Art Month (YAM) for 15 years, I am head of creative marketplace, and I organize the Pop Up Art show at the annual AENJ conference.

I am a working artist. I work with Clay, specifically wheel thrown pottery. I actively participate in crafts shows throughout the surrounding areas and enjoy working with the public. http://www.lisaconfora.com

I have worked with Say It With Clay in the past as an adult Clay Jewelry teacher, Summer Camp, Sunday program, After school programs, Clay Poles for Healing Souls Project, faces of value maker, and volunteer.
